Derek's comments:
Universe was the first Planet X band effort with
guitarist Tony MacAlpine. The highpoints on this CD are "Pods
of Trance," "Dog Boots" and the intro to "King
of the Universe" which was orated by Dick Smothers, Jr.
This was first CD recorded on my Pro Tools Mix plus
system.
Planet X toured Japan, Holland, Bulgaria, Romania,
Australia, and most of the US supporting this CD.
*Fast fact# 1: Dick is the son of Dick Smothers,
Sr., half of the Smothers Brothers comedy team.
*Fast fact #2: Dick and I grew up together in Santa Cruz,
CA.
*Fast fact #3: Dick starred in his first porno flick titled
