Derek's comments on the following vocalists are highlighted in LIGHT YELLOW.

Alice Cooper
Trash World Tour 1989-90; Hey Stoopid World Tour 1991; Monsters of Rock 1995; New Year's Eve 1996 and 1997; Summer 1998

Alice gave my first big break! Alice has a great rock 'n roll voice. My first tour with Alice Cooper was the most exciting time of my life, and Alice was always very cool. We used to always play high stakes poker on the bus. I would love to see him make one more great CD like "Billion Dollar Babies".

James LaBrie
Dream Theater Awake World Tour 1994-95, Touring into Infinity 1997-98
Recordings: Dream Theater- A Change of Seasons (East/West 1995), Dream Theater- Falling Into Infinity (East/West 1997) Explorers Club - Age of Impact (Magna Carta 1998)

Billy Idol
Billy Idol "Kiss the Skull" summer tour

Billy is the closest thing to Elvis that I have ever worked with. He is very intelligent and very down-to-earth. He made me feel very much at home on his tour and I would go work for him anytime. It would be nice to see Billy squeeze out one more great record also.

Joe Lynn Turner
"Nothing's Changed" 1995 (JVCRecords)

I met Joe Lynn, in 1989 when Al Pitrelli and I got the Cooper gig. I dig Joe Lynn, very funny cat, and a great voice. I played on his record "Nothing's Changed" and did a "all- star" show with him in Japan with Al Pitrelli, Jonathan Mover, and TM Stevens.

Gene Simmons
KISS Revenge US tour 1993
KISS Alive 3 (Mercury 1994)
Ramones Tribute CD (2003)

I think that Gene has a great rock 'n roll voice. One night, Paul Stanley's voice went out during a show, and Gene covered all of his songs, it was great! The cool thing about Gene and Paul, is that they do not warm up one bit on their voice, or their instruments, they just hit the stage and rock.

Paul Stanley
KISS Revenge US tour 1992-93
Recordings: KISS - Alive 3 (Mercury 1994)
